About LayerFlex
LayerFlex is a precision contract manufacturer in Vineland, New Jersey. We machine metal and plastic parts, mold plastic parts, build injection molds, and 3D print polymer and metal parts.
Our History
The business started in 1992 as South Jersey Precision (SJP), a Vineland precision machine shop which soon after began to build out its injection mold capabilities. In 2025, SJP joined with LayerFlex to add metal additive manufacturing to its machining and molding work. Today the company operates as SJP/LayerFlex from the same plant at 4375 S. Lincoln Ave.
Our Facility
• 9,000 sq ft plant on 5 acres, with 6,500 sq ft of manufacturing space
• CNC mills and lathes from Haas and Mori Seiki, plus a Tsugami BS26 Swiss-type lathe with bar feeder
• Mitsubishi EDM and Chevalier and Mitsui surface grinders
• Five injection molding presses from 30 to 190 tons (Toshiba, Arburg, Boy)
• A 12' x 14' Class 1,000 stationary cleanroom and an 8' x 10' Class 10,000 portable cleanroom
• Inspection with a 14" Gauge Master optical comparator and granite surface plates
Who We Work With
Our customers include makers of scientific lab tools and equipment, wire and cable, chemical products, industrial panels and switchgear, tanks, meters, commercial lighting, HVAC equipment, audio/visual equipment, safety equipment, and elevator parts. We also serve defense suppliers, and other machine shops and mold shops that need overflow capacity. We are currently expanding into aerospace.
Quality
We are working toward ISO 9001 certification with an outside quality consultant. Our CNC work holds tolerances to ±0.0005".
